Community and Volunteer Engagement

CICS's Community and Volunteer Engagement program is one of the many important ways that we work to meet the needs of newcomers. We recruit and match newcomers and other community members with volunteer placements, providing them with meaningful opportunities to give back to their communities while developing valuable skills, experience and networks. CICS's Community and Volunteer Engagement program helps build community partnerships, bring people together, reduce social isolation, build social and professional networks and provide volunteers with the experience and connections that they need to advance their employment and career prospects in Canada.

Are you interested in volunteering with us? Here's how to get started:

Step 1 – Review the Volunteer Opportunities for available placements. Volunteer opportunities are posted on an ongoing basis.

Step 2 – Complete the Online Volunteer Registration Form

Step 3 – CICS staff will contact you to arrange an appointment for an interview and/or orientation.

You can also volunteer with CICS through our Student Placement Program, to complete academic requirements for volunteer hours or internship programs. For further information, email student.placement@cicscanada.com.
