A lot has changed... for many of us, the pandemic means working from home, learning how to facilitate programs on Zoom, and isolating to keep ourselves and our families safe. For frontline workers, however, the pandemic means waking up to go to work everyday and caring for the community, the sick, and the vulnerable despite the increasing pressures and risks.
That is why in the last couple of weeks, CICS volunteers from all over the city have been busy crafting hand-made cards in hopes of uplifting the spirits of the community and spreading messages of gratitude to our heroes on the frontlines.
Over 490 cards have been made to share with seniors and healthcare providers from Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, TransCare Community Support Services and Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities! Thank you to our volunteers for contributing this project. On behalf of the CICS family, we would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to front line heroes across all industries!
Thank you for all that you do! Stay safe, and stay positive - we’re in this together! (click to watch the video)
