Employment Services

We aim at assisting landed immigrants and convention refugees to achieve equal access to the Canadian job market through a range of employment programs and services. Job seekers will obtain the essential job finding information and skills, e.g. networking, effective resume writing, answers to questions frequently asked at job interviews, labour market trends, salary ranges, labour laws, etc. by visiting our Employment Resource Centre (ERC) or participating in employment support programs. Job seekers can also find the latest job vacancies on our ERC Job Boards and via useful job web sites.

The seven major areas of services are:

  • Professional Development and Small Business Resource Centre
  • Employment Resources Centre (ERC) (Job posting boards; access to the use of telephones, computers, fax machines and resource books)
  • Employment Counselling
  • Employment-related workshops
  • Pre-employment training courses
  • Resume writing and interview skills clinics
