S.O.A.R. (Skills, Opportunities, Action Plan, Resources) Project is designed to help low- and moderate-income immigrant women improve their employability, enhance their skills and knowledge, and enter the job market in entry-level and office/administrative positions.
S.O.A.R. - Office Administration (Virtual)
A 4-week virtual training program is tailored to empower immigrant women with skills necessary to secure office administrative positions. Training components encompass office administration, computer skills, job search techniques, and an enhanced understanding of the Canadian labor market and workplace culture. Opportunity to volunteer at CICS locations to gain relevant office administrative experience.

S.O.A.R. - Financial Essentials with QuickBooks (In Person)
A 6-week, in-person training program is designed to upskill immigrant women residing in York Region who meet the income requirements, preparing them for entry-level positions in the Financial Services field. Training components encompass QuickBooks and Microsoft Office training, administrative skills tailored to the financial services sector, and job search training covering resume, cover letter, and interview techniques.
