Community Garden started in 2012 establishing programs connecting back to the community, such as — “Garden to Tummy”, “Early Years”, “Senior & Youth Garden Clubs” and “Kitchen Cooking”. Our newly built greenhouse gives us an additional capacity for growing seedlings during the winter months. We are also able to host a diverse array of workshops that keep our community members engaged during the onset of seasonal affective disorder.
Our community Garden & Greenhouse facilitates a variety of workshops. We take pride in connecting our participants, into finding ways to immerse themselves within the outside environment. We encourage everyone to tackle food insecurity, mental health, and teach more sustainable practices while learning about a wide variety of ethnic and native plants and produce.
In our last growing season, the community garden was able to yield 1,800 lbs of produce, which was given out to the community and our volunteers.
As well we have newly built accessible garden plots available to our community members & partners.
We welcome inquiries about the Community Garden & Greenhouse or Garden plots. Please reach out to our community urban farm facilitator Victoria Liu
